Always a  rambunctious young man, Travis struggled with alcoholism after the supposed death of his older brother, Bucky. The second oldest of four, and the second boy, Travis constantly argued with his younger sister, Suzie, and spent most of his nights out drinking. Feeling jealous of Bucky and wanting to prove his manhood, Travis spiraled into grief and anger at such a young age. During a shootout at a church memorial service, Travis was struck in the chest by a bullet and died quickly after in front of his younger sisters. He is buried next to his parents.
