Fenris was born in Jotunheim to Loki (father) and a Jotun sorceress, Angrboða (mother). He is the third child of Loki; Jormungandr is his only full sibling. Fenris grew up happy on Asgard until Odin wiped Asgard’s memories and separated Loki’s children. Ever since then, Fenris remained imprisoned deep under the palace, stuck in a permanent sleep until Odin died, thus breaking the spell and allowing Hela to reawaken him with the help of the Eternal Flame.

The broken curse affected his mind, and he believed himself to be a simple wolf, attacking Asgard at Hela’s behest. Only once the Hulk threw him off the edge of Asgard, Fenris shapeshifted into an Asgardian form and regained his memories. Though traumatized and angry, he did not let the past bother him and kept his bubbly personality.

Always the extrovert, Fenris brings an air of joy and sunshine wherever he goes. Despite past troubles, he is trusting and caring even though his natural appearance as a giant wolf may frighten others. He is a natural-born people person who loves socializing and cracking jokes. He also appears to never run out of energy; he cannot sit idle for long. Easily distracted, Fenris often loses track of time or lacks focus on a task. He has learned to let go of the past and does not let much affect his upbeat attitude. He is fiercely protective and will become vicious if his territory is threatened. He is also very food-motivated. His only fear: being entirely alone again.

Even though he prefers to avoid conflict, Fenris is more than capable of defending himself. Skilled in hand-to-hand combat with the icy powers of his Jotun parents, Fenris boasts the strength, speed, and agility to hold his own in a battle. His icy abilities allow him an advantage in colder environments. Literally nicknamed the Devourer of Gods, Fenris is physically the strongest of his siblings. His wolf form, which he can manipulate to different heights, displays a tough hide and a powerful bite strong enough to snap metal. Fenris is also worthy to wield Mjolnir, using it to channel his ice powers to generate lethal attacks.
