Fenris was born as the third oldest child out of four in the realm of Asgard to Loki (father) and an unnamed bilgesnipe (mother). He grew up locked in a trance in a vault underneath the palace of Asgard. Despite being locked away in the darkness and surrounded by the honorable dead of Asgard, Fenris loves people. Shortly after his younger sister’s (Hela) birth, Fenris and his siblings were cursed by Odin to forget who they were. Fenris was imprisoned underneath the palace in the form of a giant wolf, stuck in an eternal sleep until Hela woke him up with the help of the Eternal Flame. His giant wolf form strikes fear in the hearts of enemies, but he is actually quite loveable and playful.

 

Always the extrovert, Fenris brings an air of joy and sunshine wherever he goes. He is trusting and caring, despite his natural appearance as a giant wolf. He is a natural-born people person who loves socializing and cracking jokes. He appears to have an endless supply of energy since he never remains still. Easily distracted, Fenris often loses track of time or lacks focus on a task. Still, others can rely on him to complete a task, even if it takes a while. Carefree and easily forgiving, it takes a lot to truly anger Fenris. Although he appears friendly and joyful, Fenris is secretly afraid of being left alone.

 

Even though he hates conflict, Fenris is mostly self-taught to defend himself. Skilled in hand-to-hand combat and the ability to utilize the icy powers of a Frost Giant, Fenris boasts the strength, speed, and agility to hold his own in a battle. His icy abilities allow him an advantage in colder environments, but he does become weaker in hot terrain. With the strength of a wolf, Fenris is the strongest of his siblings. His wolf form displays a tough hide and a powerful bite that can snap metal. Out of his siblings, Fenris is also the only one who is worthy to wield Mjolnir, using it to channel his ice powers to generate lethal attacks.
